HOME Ask me.
I want this!

I want this!

Life Shift

Tuesday, around four in the morning, I was on my way home when a man suddenly appeared, grabbed my bag and the next thing I knew I was lying on the ground. I was shocked and numbed; I did not even notice the blood dripping from my knees. At that moment all I wanted was to run away.

It happened in less than a minute yet it caused me damage beyond repair. The scene won’t stop playing on my mind. I thought I should be angry or sad, but the only thing I felt was fear. I felt so afraid. I know I’ll be able to replace the items that were taken away but there is a greater thing that has been robbed on me, which can no longer be recovered. The wounds might heal but the scars will remain.

Things will never be the same again.

It was then that I decided to pray. There’s got to be a reason why I have to go through that experience.  The funny part is that prior to the incident I’ve been asking God to give me a sign if I’m still on the right track, cause lately things has been very difficult. So I realized that maybe that was His answer. I realize that what He wanted to teach me is that I should be happy on where I am right now. I should be happy that I have a good life, unlike some people who have to do unpleasant acts to other people in order to live. I should be thankful for the trials and pain because that’s just part of life.

So as to the unfortunate person who did that to me, I’ve forgiven you. And if you ask me how I’m doing right now, I’m ok now. In fact I think I’ve gained more than I’ve loss.

I’ll never be the same again, I’ll be better this time.

The Hangover

For those who are in the same profession as I am in, they would probably understand when I say that my life is not as normal as others have. Going on fieldwork, chasing documents, dealing with different people with different moods, overnight work at the office, endless documentations,follow-ups and reviews - those are some of what I have been up to lately. I hardly see my family, I missed having a long and peaceful sleep, and I almost forgot how it feels to have fun like I used to. That is why one Friday night, without plans, without hesitation, just pure impulse combined with adrenaline rush, we decided to hang out at Shi’s place.

It was a reckless decision, a quick escape, but that was what we really needed. To have a good laugh with the people you want to be with. To play childish games and feel like kids again. To get wasted without caring about anything. To have a drunken yet sober conversation with people you know will listen and understand… That was what we needed, To feel normal again.

Life is really difficult, for if life is easy, then it wouldn’t be worth living for. But it doesn’t mean that you have no right to be happy. I realize that night that you have the choice on where you want to be, whom you want to be with, and what you want to do. You can work as hard as you can, skip rest as long as you want, accept all the challenges coming, endure all the pain, make a lot of mistakes, but in between you can also choose to smile, have fun, take a break, feel free and be happy.

I feel lucky to have friends whom I can be myself all the time, and who are as weird, cool, and crazy as I am. I am so up to doing more unforgettable times with them!

That was one Hangover that I don’t want to get rid off.

better days.

Pasta and Ice cream. Two of my most favorite things in the world. And if combined with people who make me smile and laugh about anything, then you could just imagine how perfect my day is.

March 13,2012. Eastwood.

Ms. Ging, Roanne, Trish and I had our Yummy lunch at Yellowcab. Then I had a StrawberryOreo Blizzard treat from Trish. So thankful and so stomach full! :)

And to complete the best day, we had our dinner at BigOli. Of course we made the most out of the unlimited garlic bread!:)

Ms.ging is so cute ^^

In the cab on our way back to the office, a song was playing, the lyrics goes like this “You can’t get to better days, unless you make it through the night.. you will see those better days but you gotta be patient, be patient.”

Yes, I’m looking forward to those better days.

I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances.

What you do with your life is really just one half of the equation, the other half, the more important half really, is who you’re with when you are doing it.

“Love? Lilimitahan ka lang niyan.”

A line that struck me after watching Unofficially Yours last night. It was mentioned by the lead actress ’Ces’ during a conversation with the lead actor ‘Mackie’ about love. Well she has a point, I mean when you are in a kind of set-up like what they have, wherein they can get what they want from each other without hassle and commitment, you might also think that there is really no need for ‘love’, because when love comes in, it will just ruin everything. So it is not a surprise why some people are tempted to enter into that kind of relationship, especially when you’ve had a bad ex-perience on your past relationship. Imagine with that set-up you can focus on yourself and your career, and at the end of the day you can be with that person and be happy. No pressure, no hassle, just enjoying whatever you are in. The only problem is on how long you can resist falling for the other person. Because honestly when the heart acts, there’s no stopping it. When the heart speaks, it can’t lie. And what the heart wants is not just the fun, what it wants is LOVE. Just love.

Robert Pattinson: “If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are. Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.”

Today, be grateful. Be grateful for your favorite music, for movies that make you feel good, for your phone that connects you with people, for your computer, and for the electricity that lights up your life. Be grateful for air travel that flies you everywhere. Be grateful for the roads and traffic lights that keep the traffic in order. Be grateful to those who built our bridges. Be grateful for your pet, for your child, for your loved ones, for your eyes that enable you to read this. Be grateful for your imagination. Be grateful that you can think. Be grateful that you can speak. Be grateful that you can laugh and smile. Be grateful that you can breathe. Be grateful that you are alive! Be grateful that you are You!

Be grateful that there are two words that can change your life: Thank you!
